What coaches, team managers and families ask us.
The competition
How many games does each team play?
Four at least. First a round-robin group stage and then the final bracket, with a final and a consolation round: past the fourth game, it depends on where you finish.
How long is a game?
Four quarters of 10 minutes. Overtime, when needed, is 5 minutes.
Does the clock stop?
The clock runs, and stops for free throws, time-outs and the last two minutes of the final quarter.
Who referees?
Licensed referees, with a scorer's table at every game.
Where is it played?
Mainly in Platja d'Aro, and also at the Castell d'Aro, Llagostera and Santa Cristina d'Aro sports halls, a few minutes away.
Can results be followed?
Yes. Results and standings are updated throughout the tournament.
Entry and stay
What does the price include?
Two nights at the hotel on full board — you arrive for Friday dinner and leave after Sunday lunch —, entry to the tournament, refereeing, physiotherapy, sports insurance and a gift for every participant.
What do families pay?
Staff, 150 € per person and families, 130 €, on the same terms as the team. Children aged 3 to 11, 75 €.
Do coaches pay?
The first coach of each team is free. The rest of the staff pay the staff rate, 150 €.
Can we extend the stay?
Yes, and it is what teams travelling from far away do. An extra night is 80 € per person, and around those days we build whatever programme the team asks for: training, a warm-up tournament and visits to Girona or Barcelona. Ask at cesc@tpesport.com.
Is there a coach service?
Yes, 30 € per person. Ask the organisation at cesc@tpesport.com.
How is the entry paid?
In two payments of 120 € per player: the first confirms the place and the second is made before the tournament. The team's contact receives the exact dates on signing up.
Can the entry be self-funded?
Yes. We send you a book of 50 tickets at 5 €: sold in full that is 250 € for the team.
Priced per player, everything included
Two nights full board, the activities and playing the tournament. Travelling from abroad? We organise the whole trip — extra nights, training sessions and excursions.
